quarters, redux
04.28.04 (11:20 am)   [edit]
Well, looks like our neighbors are off the hook. When I got home from work the other day, the little Tupperware of quarters was sitting on the corner of my dresser.

Which means the nanny found it somewhere and wanted to make sure we saw it.

Which means my neighbors didn't steal it.

Which means my husband is off the hook (and not in the hip-hop way).

You owe your neighbors an apology. You know how Jeremy feels about gossip. At least you didn't name them.

Actually, I don't really owe anyone an apology, since I didn't take your well-meaning advice and go door-to-door warning my neighbors...

I figure, if the neighbors who supposedly stole our cable temporarily read this and recognize themselves, they can judge their behavior on their own.

In the meantime, I'm treating them as cordially as I do my other neighbors, which is friendly but not beating down anyone's door to hang out on their sofa.

Come to think of it, I haven't mentioned my husband by name in my blog, to protect what little privacy he has. So how do you know him? Are you the tramp who calls in the middle of the night and hangs up if I answer the phone? He's mine! Mine, I tell you! He has children and a loving (usually) home! For the love of G-d, please think of the children!
