I love being a mom and Painting in my spare time. When the kids are older I'll paint full time- but I wouldn't call it a career mainly because it's too much fun. posted by: islandArtist (reply) post date: 07.20.05 (8:51 am) I forgot to add that I did manage to survive in the 'career' (graphic artist) for about 4 years before I quit. I also quit having to take valium on a daily basis and quit suffering daily anxiety attacks. Deadlines blow. posted by: trekguy (reply) post date: 07.21.05 (2:35 am) Your kids should NOT remember you or think of you as what kind of job you had or how much money you've made, but for the mother, teacher and their refuge in times of all trouble. Parents ahve but one job and that is to make sure thier kids grow up to be productive happy adults. Now as far as you and YOUR view of your career, that is another story. I've changed jobs and responsiblities over the years too. Someof them are satisfying others not. Crap your still young, you've got lots of time. Keep your options and eyes open. Life has a way of throwing you a bone from time to time, along with CRAP! Watch for the bones!! posted by: KlOVR (reply) post date: 07.22.05 (7:26 am) Isn' it amazing how quick time goes and how it was so diffent to think of being old when we were younger. I too have done a little bit of everything and currently at a low paying job but I try not to stress and have outlets. posted by: suzoates (reply) post date: 08.08.05 (6:03 am) I have an awesome job. I love it and the people I work with and for. i never thought it would happen. You could call your career "Family Manager" :) posted by: JT (reply) post date: 08.08.05 (1:29 pm) Reply to: suzoates That is so freakin' cool. I'm always happy to hear that someone has found their niche! |
