Danny and I are in the kitchen, waiting for his favorite "buttery rolls" to bake. (Take one tube Crescent dough and unroll. Melt 1 tbsp butter in the microwave, add garlic powder to taste. Use pastry brush to put butter onto dough triangles; top with shredded Italian cheese mix (or mozzarella) and roll as directed. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Brush more butter on tops of rolls. Bake for 14-15 mins -- if your oven sucks like mine -- or until lightly browned.)

Danny is in my lap, telling me about preschool. He's wearing only one of those Huggies "Overnights." I consider his bare upper arm, and then bite it lightly.

"Mommy, don't bite me!" he says.

"Sorry, Danny."

"You always do that."

"I'm sorry, Danny. It's just that you're so yummy."

Danny brings his upper arm to his face and takes an exploratory bite.

"I am yummy. But I don't want you to eat me up."

p.s. For those who have requested, I've updated my Flickr badge with new pix of the boys, courtesy of our friend Jessy. Also, due to disgusting comment spammers, I'm restricting comments to only tBlog members. I may have to shut comments down entirely until they find someone else to pick on.

Got your card, thank you ma'am! I'm almst thru writing my holiday cards (how sad is that). I only have ONE child to distract me and you beat me! (not that I'm competitive... no ma'am, not me)

Hug those adorable boys for me!

My mom used to bite my cheeks. I never really got it until I had kids, and realized how incredibly biteable they are. Is that wrong? Eh, could be worse...

You're welcome, of course! Ya know, I only manage to do holiday cards in the years when I have waaaay too much to do around the holidays. I don't get it. Also, I was dying to get portraits of them (you should see how crappy Jacob's last school pictures are!) and our friend Jessy offered to do it for free. (She's a portrait photog -- kids & weddings.) I'm thrilled with the results, even if Benjamin did do his best to walk, crawl or otherwise duck out of every group photo!

My husband thought I was some sort of loon when I told him how I used to nibble on my kids feet! They are incredibly edible :)
