honk in the new year
01.01.08 (10:11 am)   [edit]

Danny got put on a nebulizer yesterday; one ampoule every four hours (even in his sleep, which I totally blew off last night). This morning, he crawled into bed with me and we did his treatment, after which he was extremely snuggly and touchy-feely. I'm used to him sort of gently stroking my arm or leg or playing with my fingers, but this morning, he began to gleefully squeeze my right breast.

"Please don't," I said quickly. He kept doing it, obviously fascinated.

"Please DON'T," I said again, but he didn't stop.

"I SAID DON'T, DANNY, STOP IT!" I had to pull away from him completely.

I was just molested by my hypotonic, asthmatic five-year-old. Am I wrong to be totally freaked out with how this year has begun?

oh my gosh ! LOL. i started the new year out with gettin kicked out of my own bed by two kids, two cats and a chihuahua and DH and started this morning out at 5:30 am. GROAN.

the boys are all fascinated by boobs. they don't have any, and they all think they are so cool. soft and squishy, and good to lean on when they cuddle.

just tell him calmly "Danny, don't touch me there, it makes Mom uncomfortable. there are places people shouldn't be touched, and thats one of mine." be calm and unemotional about it. matter of fact.

it will stop.

did you get the nebulizer that looks like a ducky and comes with the little ducky mask? i got one, and my five year old LOVES it. first time ever she doesn't bitch about her "breathment treatment".

They have a ducky nebulizer? How cool! No, the one we have is a boring grey thing from Orsini Home Medical Equipment -- it's what they had at the doctor's office, and this way I didn't have to race around on New Year's Eve trying to find one. But if this becomes a long-term thing, or the little one ends up needing this down the road, I'm going to have to keep the character option in mind!

I don't think you have to worry about anything unless he's still at it seven or eight years from now. Unfortunately, if at thirteen or fourteen, YOUR breasts are still the ones he's interested in, well...

I suppose then it'll be time to make a call.

Do the guys who come to take people away still wear white coats?
