Just when I thought it was safe.... the other kid gets sick. I know, you're all sick of my-kids-are-puking stories. (Trust me, so am I!) So, in lieu of details of how Jacob has spent the day puking (though he was fine when I dropped him off at summer camp this morning), I'll ask for your advice.

What, if anything, occupies your mind and hands when you and/or your kids are sick?

When I'm sick, I need to have my laptop on hand, a good book, perhaps some trashy magazines (Us, In Touch, crap like that). Ginger ale is crucial. If it's a cold/flu, I always sip a combo of ginger ale & orange juice.

I can tell you what my fantasy is... laying in bed propped up on pillows, having soup delivered on a tray... reading some good mysteries and having an endless supply of gingerale and catching up on a few movies in the DVD player.

The last time I was sick in no way resembled that. :/

Yeah, I now have a summer cold and really miss quiet days sipping the sniffles away. I can't even have ginger ale now, since carbonated beverages are too hard on my band. Bummer for me!

Can you let it sit out until it's debubbled? How's the band going for you? I forgot where your other blog was .. :(

I tried letting the bubbles subside, but no luck. Oh well.

Band is doing great now. I'm 32 lbs down!

When I'm sick, I tenc to nest...the house gets clean, laundry gets down, lots of cooking, and I watch DVDs while I'm doing it all. Usually, I'll make chicken soup.
