posted by: almsthvn (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (2:25 pm) I am in SHOCK over number #57 -- but as I'm in total agreement over #75, I'll let it slide ;) posted by: almsthvn (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (2:26 pm) OH! and #70, I wholeheartedly concur. It's fun for a couple minutes but then I want them to focus ;) posted by: JT (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (4:10 pm) Reply to: almsthvn I had a feeling you might want to clock me over 57, but I'm glad we're together on 75. I thought I was the only Zappa widow. posted by: almsthvn (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (4:19 pm) Reply to: JT I think it has to do with growing up racing around in the hills :) Besides "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow", my first "real" Zappa exposure came from Gary Cox, the mysteriously silent Brit who's now happily married and living in Australia. We were in LA and he had a Sheik Yerbouti cassette and forced me to listen to it as we drove around. I hated a couple tunes but others were ok. That was the last time I really enjoyed any FZ and I think it was influenced by the accent ;) Tho I DO love Mikey's version(s) of Inca. posted by: irishred (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (4:23 pm) applause!!!!! I love it!!!! posted by: JT (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (4:43 pm) Reply to: almsthvn Mikey could play the fucking washboard and make it cool. posted by: JT (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (4:44 pm) Reply to: irishred Thanks, Red. You were my inspiration. Oh, shit. Now I've got that song in my head, and suddenly I'm 16. posted by: trekguy (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (4:49 pm) Way cool, thanks for sharing. I did the 100 things about me a long time ago, it was fun! posted by: thisisnotablog (reply) post date: 02.16.05 (4:54 pm) long list! posted by: JT (reply) post date: 02.17.05 (7:01 am) Reply to: thisisnotablog Really? I could have gone on forever.... I'm very deep. Not. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 02.17.05 (12:19 pm) Fascinating list, very honest. Great read :)
