Here we go -- double whammy of caffeine and music. I put on Aretha and she's got me up and running again. What lifts you up and gives you back your funk?

Sound effects: "Since You've Been Gone," the Queen of Soul

so... Celebrity gossip... I'm from Detroit. Grew up loving Aretha. My ex worked at the little clinic where Aretha came to get her annual mammograms. One day a few years ago, (and I don't remember why) all three techs were late, and my ex was manning the front desk and when Aretha came in and found out she'd either have to wait or reschedule. She went off on my wife big time and made her cry. Now I can't listen to Aretha any more.... and I'm not even married to her any more!... weird.
